Production Update

Hello Fellow Cultists!

To give an update on production, we have approved most of the items for Cult of the Deep. This has allowed some of the components to go ahead and start production! This would include the Acrylic Tokens, Metal Coins, and the Dice.

It's been incredible to go through this process and just want to remind you that this was not possible without you. Thank you again from the B.A. Games team.

 Price Update For New Pre-Orders

This price update will NOT affect any backers or pre-orders of Cult of the Deep made before Monday, September 13th.

With the costs rising drastically for materials and product, we will need to raise the price of the base game for Cult of the Deep from $35.00 to $40.00 USD. This will take place Monday, September 13th. Nothing else will change price wise.

Just to re-iterate, if you have already backed or pre-ordered with us, your games are NOT going up in price. We take our responsibility with backers very seriously so this will not affect you. This price increase  will only apply to those orders made after Monday, September 13th.

If you have any friends, relatives, acquaintances, or just another board game person you met on social media, let them know it's a good time to pre-order Cult of the Deep!

Limited Quantities

It's been amazing to see people deck out their game of Cult of the Deep with the add-ons we are providing. The weight and feel of the coins and the large acyrlic tokens really helps to take your game experience to the next level. However, due to their popularity and the need to start production as soon as possible, we have only limited quantities left of some of the add-ons.

  • 14 sets of the Acrylic Tokens (128 - 25.4mm diameter x 4mm thick round clear acrylic tokens)
  • 10 sets of Metal Coins (32 Metal Coins)
  • 14 sets of Tarot Sized Clear Sleeves (100 Microns thick to better help protect your cards and provide a good weight.)
  • Dice trays sold-out!
  • Playmat sold-out!
  • Kickstarter Exclusive Dice sold-out!

However, we still have plenty of copies of Cult of the Deep so feel free to order more if you wish.

Gencon 2021

We will be in the exhibitor hall at Gencon 2021! We got our shirts, banners, pre-production games, and even custom masks! The hype is real and if you are going to be there, please feel free to come by to chat, see the game in person, or even just to use our hand sanitizer. We will be at booth #2513 in Hall F, right next to Warhammer.

There we are!

In Case You Missed It...

Pre-Production Unboxing for Cult of the Deep
over 4 years ago – Tue, Aug 24, 2021 at 07:57:58 PM

Hello fellow cultists!

We received a pre-production copy of Cult of the Deep and it is looking good! This is pretty close to final. Once we approve all of the components here, we can start the manufacturing process.

Watch the video, let us know what you think in the comments below, and enjoy!

Next week we will talk about some of our plans for conventions and where we are at in the schedule to get this game produced for you.

Until next time...

Update on Next Steps and Manufacturing Process
over 4 years ago – Wed, Jul 28, 2021 at 07:01:26 AM

Hello fellow cultists!

We were able to submit all files to the manufacturer by the end of June. Over the last few weeks, we have been busy working with the factory to make: formatting changes, correct coloring issues, verifying materials, and making sure everything is up to our standards.

What is the Next Step?

As of today, we have finished the process of tuning the game by video, photos, and emails! We are now working on getting a test sample made of the game. This means a full printed version of the game before we start the whole print run. This will give us a chance to check the look and feel of the game as well as doing a final quality check to make sure everything fits properly.

Timelines

For our timelines, we had the start of production as August 15th. If everything goes perfectly between now and then, that is still a reasonable timeframe. However, if we have to make some changes or modifications, we will have to start production a little later. (Meaning later in the month of August). However, our goal of fulfillment starting by December 15th of 2021 is still looking okay for now.

The Excitement is Real!

We are very excited for each of you to get your game and start your own cults. We couldn't be more proud of this game and its supporters. Thank you for being the best backers we could have ever asked for!

Here are a few pictures  and a video of some of the completed samples so far. They are currently still at the factory and we can't wait to get our hands on them to go over them in detail.

Note: These are still subject to changes and testing and are not final.

Embroidered Bags for all Pledges (There will be 2 red ones in the game)
Dice Tray Add-on - Black Leather outside with a velvet-like interior and snaps so it lays flat for storage
Playmat Add-on - Holes cut out for the 10mm ritual cubes

That's it for now but we will keep you updated!

Until next time...

Final Files Are Done! What does this mean?
almost 5 years ago – Sun, Jun 27, 2021 at 12:02:01 AM

You all have been patiently waiting and we are now excited to tell you that the final files are done!

What does this mean?

All of the graphic design work, new artwork, editing of the rulebook and cards, additional playtests, and initial logistics have been dealt with and are ready to go.

What's next?

We are currently in the process of submitting the files to our manufacturer in China. We will go back and forth making sure everything is formatted properly and looks how it's supposed to before print. Then an initial test print will happen and we will then make any necessary changes to maintain our standard of quality for B.A. Games and our Manufacturer.

Once that is complete, we will start manufacturing Cult of the Deep!

Timeline

So here is the timeline as it stands:

June 25 - Submission of files and start pre-manufacturing checks.

August 15 - Estimated start of manufacturing.

October 15 – Ship to Fulfillment Center – The waiting begins. This is really the part that along with the actual manufacture of Cult of the Deep is just waiting. Once everything is manufactured and assembled it will make its way from the manufacturer in China, and onto a wonderfully big boat. Between this and the actual manufacturing we are doing everything we can to set ourselves up for success but you never know when something happens.

December 15 – Fulfillment Begins – The best part! Fulfillment. Fulfillment should begin once the product reaches the warehouse. The potential problem we have here is customs and that it is the Christmas season. The amount of shipping delays and product that is being shipped everywhere causes a massive crunch throughout the whole chain. We will be fulfilling from warehouses in the US, Canada, France, and Australia. That is the current plan. This is subject to change but for the most part that should be relatively transparent to you as a backer. Still we have hope that even if you don’t get your product before Christmas, you should get it by Dec 31,  2021.

That's the plan and we thank you for your patience and trust in this.

Until next time...

Progress Towards Manufacturing, Update On Art
almost 5 years ago – Thu, May 27, 2021 at 01:35:39 AM

We will have a bigger update next week but just wanted to let you all know that we have been making good progress towards getting all the files submitted. Our Graphic Designer, David Li, has been working to make sure our game components are of a great quality. We have a few files completed and ready to go and we hope to have some even better news for you next week.

The artwork for the game is just about finished. We are happy to share the artwork for one of the rituals with you, the Lamia. So until next week, enjoy!
